Philly Social Media Entrepreneurship Challenge

The University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School is hosting a competition for Philadelphia high school students. Students must work in groups of up to four to create and implement a strategy for using social media and other technology to reach out to other high school students.  The winning team from each school will have the opportunity to attend a day long leadership program at Wharton.

The challenge begins December 5th!

November 7th, 6 – 8 pm: College for Students with Learning Differences

November 8th, 10 am – 2 pm: College Fair for Adults

November 10th, 6 – 8 pm: Financing Your Education

November 12th, 10 am – 1 pm: College Application Workshop

The Young People’s Computer Center

The Young People’s Computer Center offers a community space and computer access for youth. Over the summer they will also be offering workshops on finding a summer job and getting ready for college at 1 PM every Thursday. The center is on the 2nd floor at 4205 Chestnut St and is open Monday-Thursday, 11 AM – 5 PM. For more information email chris@mediamobilizing.org or call 215-253-4586.
